If you believe a specific AI tool is necessary for your work and cannot be accomplished with Microsoft Copilot, you can submit a request for IT Security review.
Your request will be evaluated based on:
- Business justification and necessity
- Security and compliance assessment of the AI tool
- Data handling and privacy policies
- Whether approved alternatives (Microsoft Copilot) can meet the need
- Cost and licensing considerations
- Department head approval
What to include in your request:
- Specific AI tool name and URL
- Detailed business justification (what you need to accomplish)
- Why Microsoft Copilot cannot meet this need
- Type of data you plan to use with the tool
- Frequency of use (daily, weekly, occasional)
- Department and manager approval
💡 Best Practices for AI Tool Usage
When using Microsoft Copilot or any approved AI tool:
- ✓ Use your ECL email account to sign in
- ✓ Review AI-generated content for accuracy before using
- ✓ Don't share login credentials with others
